Balmain’s 1945 Collection, the House’s latest offering by Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, pays homage to the Founder Pierre Balmain.
Fresh of the Spring/Summer 2021 catwalk, the collection was inspired by Pierre Balmain’s strongest mid-century designs to create a bold collection of soft leather and jacquard bags, in a variety of sizes and shapes.
The repeating “PB” references the founder and his House.
Balmain.com states “The motif reflects Pierre Balmain’s fascination with the labyrinths of France’s most beautiful Renaissance gardens.”

At the forefront of the collection is the versatile 1945 Bag.
The bag converts into four wearable styles including an over-the-shoulder bag a shopping tote and a clutch.
