The new collection includes palazzo pants, tops, skirts and maxi dresses made from 100% silk, in a strategic move for the Atelier.
The tasteful yet bondage inspired label was founded in 2009 by Romanian born Londoner Alexandra Popa as an “alternative solution to the over saturated market of stereotypically cute, comfortable or sexy lingerie“.
The items, all meticulously handcrafted, are finished with 24 carat gold plated hardware, is a favourite fashion connoisseurs, including Beyonce, Laura Stone, Helena Christensen, Cara Delevigne and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Madonna, Lana Del Ray, Kim Kardashian, FKA Twigs, Missy Rayder, Lady Gaga and Monica Bellucci.
In 2009 the brand launched in Selfridges, where their signature girdle dresses sold out within 24 hours of arriving on the shop floor. Now over a decade old, are globally known for their suspenders, harnesses, bodices, open bras, garters, collars and 24karat nipple covers.
According to Bordelle.co.uk: “The Bordelle aesthetic is characterised by body-con silhouettes and rooted in a proprietary technique that blends 24k gold-plated hardware and customised satin elastic to create iconic pieces featuring a luxury S&M sensuality.”
Due to demand, the Atelier also offer a bespoke made-to-measure service allowing playful customers to work closely with their team to create a “highly customised and personalised garment“.
The house expanded to include swimwear and an elegant but playful sought after bridal collection.
