Stylerunner’s Flagship Store

The world’s largest e-commerce sports luxe multi brand retailer for women, Stylerunner, today opened their doors to a flagship bricks and mortar store. Founded in 2012, Stylerunner was the first online retailer of its kind globally, and helped pioneer the category of premium, luxe activewear.

Themed about the Stylerunner brand ethos of wellbeing, the 200-square-metre store is designed by creative studio Noise Noise Noise and situated in the chic Melbourne enclave of Armidale.

Inviting clients to break free of the the norm, the design utilises the power of colour and form to boost moods and incite positivity, while digital screens incorporating serene scenes of nature and gentle movement invoke pleasure, joy, and carefree abandon.

References to organic form and nature continue throughout the store, with a shapely lake-like oasis crafted from sycamore timber, marble and champagne steel greeting guests on arrival, vertical trunks cocooning the central sneaker destination, and a neon ‘cloud’ floating above softly textured, bulbous furniture in the rear lounge. The flagship even boasts its own custom in-store scent.

The change stations are a insta-worthy experience in themselves, with a “press for help” button, next to a “press for hydration” button (where shoppers receive their own pastel Stylerunner branded aluminium can of H20) and lastly, a mood enhancing dimmer switch for custom lighting in each change room.

Visionary Co-Founder and Brand Director Julie Stevanja, who was the 2016 winner of the World Retail Congress’ Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year award tells us:

“We didn’t want to create another retail store of white walls and timber floors. We weren’t afraid to take some risks with this concept, and Blair Cooper of NNN lived up to the challenge, delivering a standout space that we believe our customers and community will love exploring and immersing themselves in”.

Stylerunner will open another two stores in 2021 to complement their web and mobile portal of curated brand name luxe leisurewear, alongside their own branded capsule collection with global shipping and a virtual Health Club.
