Not A Hotel Stunning Collaboration with Nigö

Japanese fashion designer Nigö, known for his work for Kenzo and Bape, was appointed as Creative Director for the hospitality brand Not A Hotel Tokyo to curate the overall concept for their latest ethereal cliffside location just off the coast of Futtsu in Japan.

Not surprisingly, Nigö’s eclectic taste and extensive art collection added a unique cultural dimension to the space. Each room featured collectibles ranging from vintage Jean Prouvé porthole doors to Prouvé dining chairs and Pierre Jeanneret Chandigarh furniture pieces.

Not A Hotel features design-forward furniture and electronics brands

A nod to the Human Made project – a giant inflatable duck found floating inside the indoor swimming pool. Contrasting with the playful duck is a giant Kaws statue on the roof looking out to the bay area.

Speaking of amenities, Not A Hotel features multiple bedrooms, sleeping pods, gym and music room which features speakers from Kaws and Devon Turnbull’s HiFi brand Ojas.

Inspired by Nigö’s involvement in the world of Japanese pottery, the clifftop house welcomes a proper traditional tea room ready for a sadō tea ceremony.

No modern garage is complete without a Tesla Cybertruck, and Nigo’s place of power is no exception. His collection undoubtedly includes the latest must-have accessory for the affluent: the Cybertruck, epitomizing cutting-edge technology and luxury.
