Patek Philippe 2025 pre-owned Cubitus 45mmBlue

Cubitus by Patek Philippe

Patek Philippe delighted watch lovers this week by announcing the launch of the Cubitus collection, timepieces designed for everyday “elegant sporty” wear.

The Cubitus luxury sports watch series is the first new collection by Patek Philippe in twenty five years. The House, famed for it’s instantly recognisable aesthetic released three exciting new models in the collection.

The personal favourite from the collection, is the Cubitus Instantaneous Grand Date, Day and Moon Phases (Ref: 5822P-001). The weight of the platinum case paired with the complexity of the new instantaneous movement makes this a standout for serious collectors seeking a sporty option.

The timepiece mirrors Patek Philippe’s ongoing commitment to technical brilliance and wearability. Cubitus’ classic yet modern execution of the moon phases and grand date elevate it to a level of sophistication that feels both timeless and cutting edge.

Crafted in platinum, Cubitus is powered by an innovative movement with six patents.

With precision at the forefront, its display changes the grand date, moon phase, and day of the week in perfect harmony within just 18 milliseconds. The blue sunburst dial, with its embossed detailing, is both stunning and functional, ensuring excellent legibility. Subtle luxury touches like the baguette-cut diamond at 6 o’clock and the 22K gold mini-rotor visible through the sapphire case back make this watch a true masterpiece for collectors.

“Well, since a long time, I really always wanted to have a square watch in the collection. It’s not easy, as 85% of the watches around the world are round. And, since I was quite young, I always challenged myself to say, ‘I need to have also a beautiful square watch in the collection.’

So that’s how we started, actually, simply like that, to say, ‘We have to find something new, something great,’ – and it took a long time, to be frank, to find such a beautiful piece, because there were many different ways that I could start the design with such a watch. But in my mind, it has to be a thin watch. It has also to be a watch with a new movement. And it has also to be a watch that has really all the DNA of Patek Philippe inside.” – Thierry Stern, President

To further refine the characteristics of the timepiece, Patek Philippe includes matching Cubitus cufflinks with each purchase.
