Condé Nast has produced eight different covers for the latest issue of its fashion and lifestyle magazine Love, featuring model ‘heavyweights’ Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Natalia Vodianova (other models include Lara Stone, Amber Valetta, Jeneil Williams, Kristen McMenamy and Daria Werbowy) in nothing but their birthday suits.
Captured by the magnificent duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, ladies presented their lovely lady humps themselves in an identical pose featuring exercise cables… Strange choice of props, as we find it hard to imagine any of them in the gym. Give them a glass of vino each and it would a whole different story!
“For this issue of Love, we took eight women who are generally acknowledged as the most beautiful in the world, got them to show off their bodies – widely regarded as the most perfect in the world – and photographed them in exactly the same position for the cover” – said Love’s editor-in-chief Katie Grand. “We did this to show how much they differed physically from one another, which is why we also printed their measurements… The point is that ‘perfection’ is not fixed, timeless or transcendent. It varies, as the measurements of our cover girls show.”
Ok if that was the point, where is Gemma Ward or Tyra Banks? Now that would be interesting.
