Infamous Tyler Shields is climbing up the ranks in the fashion world as a ghetto glam photographer and videographer, specialising in video portraits.
The in demand celebrity photographer as once again come under scrutiny for photographing Glee star Heather Morris with bruises in his “Even Barbie Bruises” folio.
His muse’s include Lindsay Lohan, Dianna Argon and Kellan Lutz and he has shot for advertising clients such as Harley Davidson and Playboy.
Some sections of the media have repeatedly criticised his work for what they perceive as an aestheticisation of violence, citing recurring themes such as bloodshed, crime, and victimhood, often conveyed implicitly rather than explicitly. One of the most widely publicised controversies occurred when actress Lindsay Lohan was photographed with a gun held to her head, an image that reignited debate around the portrayal of violence in his work.
