Paspaley celebrated the arrival of the 2011 collection, Muse by Paspaley, at a chic soirée for 300 special guests at a new event establishment.

One by one guests arrived to be acquainted by swanky valet staff and escorted into an unknown door to an exclusive event.

Guests including Carla Zampatti, Maggie Tabberer, Natarsha Belling, Bowie Wong, Hoda Waterhouse, Gracie Otto, Tim Holmes à Court, Bridget Holmes à Court, Kathryn Robinson, Michael and Angela Moore, Terry Kaljo and members of the Paspaley family gathered at Martyn Cook and Thomas Hammel’s haute showroom, The Residence, a building which resembles a Parisian hôtel particulier but is in fact a converted substation. If pearls weren’t on your mind the exquisite furniture was!

The mood was Haute! Sophisticated and yet as elegant as the collection, with a performance by the stunning Clare Bowditch, bedecked, of course, in Paspaley pearls and introduced by the evening’s host, third generation family member Chris Paspaley. Guests admired the collection displayed in and amongst The Residences’ rarities and antiques as they sipped on Veuve Clicquot and canapés from Matt Moran’s Aria; delicacies including ceviche pearl meat with coconut, chili and lime; blue swimmer crab, avocado and mint tapas; and hazelnut, coconut and chocolate pop-rocks that were to die for!

At the centre of the evening was an ornate circular installation featuring glamorous models adorning the collection. There was definitely a touch of old Hollywood glam!

Dripping in the Muse collection of onyx, rose quartz and moonstone with Paspaley pearls in modern haute shapes and styles. From long necklaces that draped with such casual elegance to gorgeous rings, bracelets and earrings. My mouth was salivating…

This was definitely a Sydney soiree to remember. Paspaley certainly know how to throw a party with style sophistication and flair. To top of the evening we were all treated to men and woman’s goodie bags with beautiful silk scarves!
What a treat! How Haute!
