Every September, Port Hercule transforms into the global stage for luxury yachting as the Monaco Yacht Show opens its docks. Since its creation in 1991, the event has evolved into the most prestigious showcase of its kind, held under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. This year, nearly 120 superyachts will gather in Port Hercule, with around 40 making their world debut, alongside more than 60 tenders. With so much on display, we’ve put together our own selection of standout yachts not to miss: vessels that embody the artistry, ambition, and evolving spirit of luxury yachting.
Breakthrough 118m

Currently listed as the largest vessel attending the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show at 118.8 metres, Breakthrough is generating serious buzz. Formerly known as Project 821, Feadship’s latest superyacht was officially unveiled in July 2025, making the show one of the first opportunities for visitors to experience her in person. Powered by a combination of hydrogen and a cutting-edge fuel-cell system, the aptly-named Breakthrough represents a bold step forward for hybrid propulsion technology. On board, guests can enjoy a cinema, a library, a basketball court, a 8.2m swimming pool, and even a fully equipped hospital. Jamie Edmiston, Chief Executive of Edmiston Yachts described Breakthrough as “the most extraordinary superyacht ever built. The one that will change it all”.
Luna 90m

The 90-metre motor superyacht LUNA by Oceanco is distinctive in its spatial generosity and layout. The nearly 3,000 gross tons of volume are put to use in generous proportions: there is a full owner’s deck, its own private salon and jacuzzi, a wellness area, and an expansive beach club. Designed by Luiz de Basto with interiors by Nuvolari & Lenard together with Valentina Zannier, the yacht accommodates 14 guests in comfort, and its design breaks from more compact superyacht norms by emphasizing breathing room in both public and private areas.
Valor 79m

Another of Feadship’s newest superyachts Valor, launched in May 2025 as the Dutch shipbuilder’s latest explorer model. The steel-hulled yacht features a 2 m ice belt and is designed to handle extreme Arctic conditions. Despite its rugged exterior, comfort is never compromised. On board, Valor offers a sky lounge, multiple dining areas, a beach club, two Jacuzzis, and an owner’s suite complete with a private Jacuzzi. Measuring 79.5 m, she ranks among the largest yachts at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, combining expedition-ready capability with all the hallmarks of modern superyacht luxury.
Project Metamorphosis 72m

The Admiral Giorgio Armani “Project Metamorphosis” brings together naval architecture and high design in a way that feels both sculptural and restrained. Its exterior combines sharp geometric volumes with softened curves, accented by satin-gold details and expansive windows that invite light into the interior. Inside, Armani/Casa’s approach is evident in the use of Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta, and Canaletto walnut, paired with crafted lighting and textiles that create a warm, tactile atmosphere. The superyacht’s layout emphasizes fluid movement between indoor and outdoor spaces, with features such as an upper-deck terrace with helipad and a sequence of open lounges that highlight a balance between elegance and practicality. This one is not to be missed at the Monaco Yacht Show!
Katana 61m

Among the most exciting yachts this year is Kantana, a 61.4 m vessel by Italian builder Perini Navi. Launched earlier in 2025, Kantana’s exhibition marks the rebirth of Perini Navi as part of The Italian Sea Group. Interiors are by designer Rémi Tessier, whose understated approach to luxury is evident throughout. The yacht features an expansive deck layout ideal for entertaining and long-range cruising, along with a fully integrated sail-handling system that allows for smooth, effortless navigation. Her sleek hull design and custom rigging give her a distinctive silhouette on the water, combining performance with timeless elegance.
Loewe 55m

Loewe is the second hull of Tankoa Yachts’ new T55 Sportiva series, measuring 55 metres in length. Designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, the superyacht features sleek, aerodynamic lines and a dynamic yet refined aesthetic, reflecting the finest in modern yachting. 2025 will mark her international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. Noteworthy features include an expansive internal elevator, floor-to-ceiling glazing that floods both the main and upper decks with natural light, the Nemo Room, a semi-submerged lounge offering an immersive connection to the sea, generous exterior lounging areas, two panoramic Jacuzzis and a vast beach club centered around a dramatic swimming pool.

For those of us who call Monaco home, Monaco Yacht Show feels like more than just an exhibition. Monaco Yacht Show is a moment when our city becomes the heartbeat of the yachting world. Watching Port Hercule come alive with extraordinary vessels and the hum of conversations between visionaries, owners, and dreamers is a reminder of how unique this place truly is. Writing about the top yachts to see isn’t just reporting on a global event; it’s sharing a piece of Monaco’s identity.
