Fendi Celebrates 100 Years of Sartorial Excellence

Fendi at 100: Heritage, High Drama and Italian Elegance

Fendi turns one hundred, and in true Roman style the celebration is not about nostalgia but about renewal. With its Fall/Winter 2025 collection 1925-2025: Lo Spirito del Tempo ,the maison presents a wardrobe that feels perfectly attuned to the season. The silhouettes and materials are designed not only as a tribute to five generations of Fendi women but as a reflection of how luxury can embody both warmth and refinement in the autumn months.

The collection designed by Kim Jones for womenswear and Silvia Venturini Fendi for menswear, with jewelry direction by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, is steeped in autumnal atmosphere. Flared skirts and corseted waists recall Roman drapery, while rounded sleeves and corolla jackets carry a sculptural weight that suits cooler weather. Materials like fox, lamb and sable shearling provide a richness and tactility made for autumn evenings. Colors deepen into warm greens, twilight blues and sunset oranges, echoing the fading light of the Roman sky.

Accessories give the collection its rhythm. The Giano moon-shaped purse, shifting from clutch to shoulder bag, feels as adaptable as the autumn season itself. The return of the Spy Bag, newly interpreted with twisted shearling straps, adds both nostalgia and a sense of seasonal luxury. Peekaboos and Mamma Baguettes are finished with sequins, Selleria stitching and textures that shimmer in autumn light. Jewelry by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, from chandelier earrings to snake-chain collars, adds metallic brilliance to layered autumn looks.

The centennial is as much about family as it is about fashion. Silvia Venturini Fendi recalls memories rooted in Roman ateliers, and this sense of heritage is carried into the campaign directed by Steven Meisel with styling by Karl Templer and set design by Mary Howard. The imagery suggests both intimacy and grandeur, casting the collection in shadow and light reminiscent of autumn evenings. T

Luxury today is less about rarity and more about resonance. What Fendi presents this season seems to capture autumn not simply as a setting but as a state of mind. The richness of materials, the depth of color and the ease of layered silhouettes speak naturally to the rhythm of cooler days. There is a quiet elegance in these pieces that feels both contemporary and timeless, and I can already see myself reaching for more than a few of them as the season unfolds.
