In a world constantly accelerating Xisui Design offers an unparalleled sanctuary. It is a place where serenity and luxury converge to soothe the soul. The thin-shell metal woven pavilion stands in Hefei City in China. It is a thriving metropolis where serenity is often elusive. Commissioned by the Yango Group Co, this jewel-like retreat spans 11 by 8 meters. It proves that compact dimensions can still deliver expansive peace of mind.

Suspended gently over a reflective pool, the pavilion provides urban dwellers a rare retreat from the noise of city life. Its ethereal presence, with a serene white exterior mirrored on the water’s surface, instantly communicates purity and calm.

This pavilion is inspired by the organic beauty of bird nests. It also draws from the structural elegance of eggshells. The design embodies natural tranquility through advanced digital construction. The double-curved, keel-free shell acts as both form and structure. It evokes ancient vaulted forms while minimizing material use. This design is an embodiment of efficiency and aesthetic grace.

Inside, matte brown-gold walls cocoon visitors in a cave-like calm, encouraging deep introspection. As sunlight and drifting clouds play across the skylight, they create patterns likened to a river of stars. The pavilion transforms into a living meditation. It nurtures mindfulness and inner peace.

The pavilion, created by Xisui Design, comprises 469 custom CNC-cut metal segments, precisely prefabricated and bolted together without welding. This innovative process not only ensures construction precision but also allows future flexibility. This preserves continuity and peace through adaptability.

Guests enter via a subtle sunken path beneath the water’s surface. This path serves as an immersive threshold. It clears the mind and eases entry into the pavilion’s mindful atmosphere. Within, a centripetal dome with acoustic amplification gently enhances soft speech, inviting contemplation and inner stillness.
