True to its mission of supporting children and families facing adversity, the BPM Foundation is continuing to expand its charitable work in Monaco through a new initiative dedicated to pediatric cancer research. In partnership with the Aleksandr Savchuk Association, the foundation is supporting a research project led by the Centre Scientifique de Monaco, with a specific focus on brain tumours affecting children.
This initiative marks a natural evolution of the BPM Foundation’s commitment in the Principality. Following an initial project centred on art therapy for young patients, the foundation has chosen to deepen its involvement by contributing directly to scientific research. By doing so, BPM Foundation reinforces its long-term vision: combining emotional support with concrete action to improve the lives and futures of children living with serious illnesses.

BPM Foundation: Supporting Research at the Centre Scientifique de Monaco
The Centre Scientifique de Monaco is internationally recognised for the quality of its biomedical research, particularly in the field of pediatric oncology. Through this collaboration, the BPM Foundation is helping advance research aimed at better understanding childhood brain tumours, improving treatment approaches, and ultimately increasing survival rates and quality of life for young patients.
By working alongside the Aleksandr Savchuk Association, which is actively engaged in funding and promoting pediatric cancer research, the foundation ensures that its contribution is both targeted and impactful. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to science, innovation, and hope for families affected by childhood cancer.
Léo: A Discreet and Meaningful Symbol of Hope
At the heart of this initiative is Léo, a teddy bear created as a symbol of gentleness, solidarity, and optimism. Far more than a simple mascot, Léo represents the human dimension of the foundation’s commitment and serves as a bridge between charitable action and scientific research.
Handcrafted in Monaco by Wooly Wonder Friends, Léo was designed exclusively for this operation and personalised in the colours of the BPM Foundation. His soft and reassuring presence embodies the values of care and compassion that guide the foundation’s work, while offering a tangible symbol that is easily understood and embraced by both children and adults.

Léo brings visibility to a complex and sensitive cause, making pediatric cancer research more accessible and relatable to the wider public. Through his presence, the foundation highlights the importance of sustained support for scientific initiatives that can change lives over the long term.
A Mascot with Purpose in the Principality
Beyond this research project, Léo has also become the official mascot of BPM Exclusive in Monaco. In this role, he symbolises the strong, responsible, and socially engaged presence of the BPM Group in the Principality. His image reflects a corporate culture that places people, solidarity, and social responsibility at the centre of its activities.
By associating Léo with both research and community engagement, the BPM Foundation demonstrates how symbolic actions can reinforce meaningful commitments, creating lasting connections between businesses, charities, and the public.
